Thats a WHOLE lot of RTV...

You know youre not supposed to use it like that, right?

FrestyleFC3S 08-25-2003 02:16 AM

hehe yea i did notice that too

i usually just use a thin layer across each side that im "gasketing" let it dry for 5 mins, then stick it together

Don't hate because my copper RTV is purtyer than your blue RTV, you know you're jealous bitch! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

I did it just like Scott did his on his website. It's a thin layer, I just spread it around with my finger.

FrestyleFC3S 08-25-2003 03:05 AM

i use a greenish/black colored one i think its permatex's version - liquid gasket

neways...shut ur diry mouth

adamlewis 08-25-2003 06:15 AM

I hope its a lot thinner than how it looks in the pictures...I wouldnt want to imagine what happens if that stuff comes off and goes into your engine...

Anyways, youre not supposed to spread it around like that. You just supposed to draw a thin bead around the outer edge.

no you need to do it like he did it. theres a passage to the intake and to the exhaust in there, you need to seal it up. silison getting into the engine isnt a problem
