Engine Removal
#1
Hey everybody,
Here is the deal:
I am in the process of removing the engine in my 86 n/a, and I have run into a little snag. This is my first attempt at ever removing an engine. I have disconnected all electrical, exhaust, intake, bolts, etc..., but the engine still seems to be attached to the transmission. From my Chilton manual, I can see there are sleeve guides on two of the bolt holes. My question is whether or not there is some special trick to disconnecting the engine from the transmission. I have no idea how the output shaft from the engine is connected to the rest of the drivetrain. Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric
