I'm Still looking for that VAC leak
some I'm concentration on injectors now I took out the injectors and notice that the O-rings are harden and chiped so it's no big deal to have them replaced my questions are: are the primary injectors under the the fuel rail/pulsation damper? cuz on this forum ppl never establish which injectors are on dissuccion (secondary/primary ) when replacing the O-ring and gromments do I coat the O-rings with gas or oil? (does it really matter which one or if it is done at all?) and lastly is it possible (but not reccomended) to clean the injectors on your own ? if so how? please forgive my ingorance 86 GXL |
I will offer this bit of advice: Lubricate the O-rings! The first time I put my fuel system back together I didn't lube them, and later when I had to replace the leaky pulsation damper, I noticed that I had torn at least one of them up pretty bad. I would suggest using a light coating of oil. Gas isn't much of a lubricant.

primary injectors are located on the engine, in the centre housing. period, forevers, to take backs!
they can cause vacuum leaks too, the bottom seal seals between the outside air and the intake system, so when they get hard and baked it can cause small vacuum leaks, poor hot starts, diarehha, constopation, headaches |
thanks I hope this little fix will cure my VAC leak!
