I got a rebuilt 13b for my 86 gxl 2x2, its street ported, all i have right now is no a/c, emissions, intake,.. I am going to get a header/presilencer combo from racing beat im pretty sure, and i'd like to do an electric fan aswell while im at it. If i do this do you think my 205K mile secondary injectors will lean out when it gets into the higher rpms? When i did the swap i clean all the injectors and put on all new seals and o-rings if that helps at all? Also, would i benefit at all from hotter spark plugs instead of just stock NGK's? Thanks

I think the stock 460's are good to around 200 hp. You might find some more power if you put 87 T2 550 secondaries in and then tune it with an AFC or some device like that.

yah i thnk your injectors are gonna be fine. you prolly want colder plugs if anything though

FrestyleFC3S 01-31-2004 03:45 PM

460cc should be fine for your engine right now

if you still feel maybe you are leaning out, or are still concerned, then maybe invest in a sort of air:fuel gauge to moderate the mixture

i think upgrading the injectors and then having to spend the money on getting a fuel computer to control them. is not worth it at this point

the 460's will support up to 375hp at 85% dutycycle

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i dunno about that....

1. N/As dont make that kinda power

2. 550s dont even last to that amount of power without going lean

maybe you mean 275 HP ?????

wanta be boosted 01-31-2004 07:01 PM

AF guages don't moderate AF mixture. They tell you what the AF mixture is.....

yea i might look for the tII injectors sometime. And i was looking at a getting an a/f ratio guage anyway, but i have another question about that, do i have to make a seperate bung for another 02 sensor or can i just splice another wire into the stock 02 wire ?
