so i was told that i cannot run larger injecors without altering my factory ecu in my 87 tII. is there any truth to that statement? it all started by me noticing my car started to bog out when my sec. inj. hit so i pulled the engine apart and noticed my injector was cracked. i want to upgrade my injectors now but i was told that i cant run bigger injectors without going with a piggy-back/stand-alone. so if you have any usefull info let me have it. thanks.

you can run slightly bigger injectors if you are na mabey 550cc secondaries if you are modded but other that that you can run them but you will run way rich so you need a way to pull some fuel from the map
|
that depends. i notice modded t2's run pretty good with 550/680's on the stock ecu. 11% more fuel, and you're making 11% more power at least....

so whersome 680 low impedance injectors?

You can use fuel injectors from a 1984-1985 RX-7 GSL-SE. These are rated at 680cc/min.
but the best thing you can do is get a piggyback like a SAFC or something like that and get it tuned. then you will get more power out of it then just the injector upgrade |

yes they are... so make sure you need the low impedance, otherwise you have to add resistors
