so is it worth the money to buy these ITB's or will the power gain be small? there a little over 600 and the weber 6 port manifold is under 200. i have a 90 GXL. also, would SAFC2 be enough for tuning purposes?
anyone know of a better choice? let me know. thanx |
not sure on power gains but i am atleast possitive youll need a stand alone with those. running both trottle bodies back to the AFM would mostly defeat the purpose of the swap anyway.

nice call, my bad, it is a ITB setup. Either way, the SAFC won't control it. Need a stand alone ECU to control them.
|
you could rig up some kinda box and use the factory afm, but then you'd kill the power gains too...
you'd be just shy of 200rwhp with those on a stock engine |
about 2 minutes after i wrot this i realized i need a stand alone to run it. no more MAF. i couldnt get back on here to edit it quick enough. dumb me.

dude, dumbass they aint carbs thoughs are throttle bodies and you will need a stand alone for them. i did a 85 with a 13b street port with the same itb throttle bodies on them , the car dynoed at 235wheel hp. not bad if you ask me and was hella responcive. 235? thats damn good to me! what other mods besides street port did you have? |
where're you gettin the ITBs from?
|
Tweak-it, TWM
|
yes....tweakit.net
|
what kind of manifold is used for those? could i use it on my streetported 4 port n/a motor with nitrous? that definitely seems like its worth the cost.
|
it fits to the weber lower manifold if im not mistanken. they also sell it there at tweakit.net. and yes you could use it on your 4-port. just make sure to but the 4 port one. obviously. thats my plan. but you will NEED a stand alone ECU.
you could put nitrous on a lawn mower if you want to. just know-how and money come in to play... |
