so is it worth the money to buy these ITB's or will the power gain be small? there a little over 600 and the weber 6 port manifold is under 200. i have a 90 GXL. also, would SAFC2 be enough for tuning purposes?

anyone know of a better choice? let me know. thanx

not sure on power gains but i am atleast possitive youll need a stand alone with those. running both trottle bodies back to the AFM would mostly defeat the purpose of the swap anyway.

Dude, the SAFC2 doesnt control a carburetor. Carburetors are mechanical.

dude, dumbass they aint carbs thoughs are throttle bodies and you will need a stand alone for them. i did a 85 with a 13b street port with the same itb throttle bodies on them , the car dynoed at 235wheel hp. not bad if you ask me and was hella responcive.

cymfc3s 08-28-2006 10:09 PM

nice call, my bad, it is a ITB setup. Either way, the SAFC won't control it. Need a stand alone ECU to control them.

j9fd3s 08-28-2006 10:24 PM

you could rig up some kinda box and use the factory afm, but then you'd kill the power gains too...

you'd be just shy of 200rwhp with those on a stock engine

sen2two 08-29-2006 02:12 AM

about 2 minutes after i wrot this i realized i need a stand alone to run it. no more MAF. i couldnt get back on here to edit it quick enough. dumb me.

235? thats damn good to me! what other mods besides street port did you have?

Node 09-08-2006 08:30 PM

where're you gettin the ITBs from?

banzaitoyota 09-08-2006 10:04 PM

Tweak-it, TWM

sen2two 09-09-2006 04:54 AM

yes....tweakit.net

rotaryturtle 09-09-2006 05:22 AM

what kind of manifold is used for those? could i use it on my streetported 4 port n/a motor with nitrous? that definitely seems like its worth the cost.

sen2two 09-10-2006 04:39 AM

it fits to the weber lower manifold if im not mistanken. they also sell it there at tweakit.net. and yes you could use it on your 4-port. just make sure to but the 4 port one. obviously. thats my plan. but you will NEED a stand alone ECU.

you could put nitrous on a lawn mower if you want to. just know-how and money come in to play...
