I want to know what I can do to get a better response out of the stock leading and/or trailing coils. I figure the easiest/quickest solution is to get an ignition amp. but I cannot seem to find anything that isnt going to cost me an arm and a leg. I have been looking at the plug and play HKS Twinpower Ign. Amp. but was wondering if MSD might offer something. I know I have seen MSD boxes in rotary systems but have never really looked into them. Can someone refer me to an ignition amp source? thanks!

Summitracing.com has MSD 6A ignition boxes for like $185..

I put one on my 12A using a FC coil pack on the leading.. seemed to work really well..

I would really suggest to use MSD, They are "name brand" and (IMO) you get what you pay for. All kinds of pro racers use MSD.

I think NASCAR even uses MSD boxes in there cars..

Some boxes might be able to offer higher voltage output or maybe more mj's of power, But I think the MSD boxes are more durable and reliable the the knock offs...

Okay well I think there is a spare MSD 6A sitting on one of the shelves at the shop I work out of. My next question is how would I go about wiring one of these up? would it be on the trailing coil or the leading coil. Can I put one on each? I really dont want to risk no spark condition and also want the greatest efficiency I can possibly achieve. The only real experience I have had with anything MSD is with V8 powered circle track dirt cars. And even then, the MSD was pre-installed so all we had to do was set the limiter and plug up the coil. Other than that, I havent the slightest clue what to tap into or how it is suppose to be setup. BTW, I was looking into the MSD 6A's just prior to your reply, they seem alot cheaper than the HKS and I know they are reliable so my money is definetely going towards at least one.
