Okay, I think I've traced the trailing igniter problem to a power source. I ran my voltmeter across the leading and got 12v, but on the trailing, I took off the 2 wire plug, ran the tester across it and NOTHING. Would this be the igniter that's bad or the 12v source coming to it? If it's the source, where is the source? A relay? A fuse? Without an igniter checker I'm assuming for now it's the igniter that's bad, or am I wrong? I know it's not sending any spark to the trailing plugs...please help asap before I break down and send it off to a real mazda mechanic. grabgears@hotmail.com

if the ignitor doesn't get powered it can't work. the power for the coils comes from the main relay which is the big one right next to the coil pack.

So um....where should I start checking? I swapped the leading igniter with another one and still nothing. A new main relay is like $138!!!!
