cars finally running...but the idle is very low.... at 0% throttle were seeing 560-620 rpms
the tps is calibrated fine thru the programming....just trying to get the car to idle at 750-850 ish so how in the hell do i adjust the idle ... removed the BAC valve btw thanks mike |
Good question. I have the same problem. I wish it would idle a little higher.
|
idle screw?
|
Your idle is low because the BACV is gone, you'll have to adjust the throttle stop screw, because the BACV used to provide idle air.
Kepping the BACV might actually be something you're interested in, the E6K can control it. |
BTW, you have to recalibrate the TPS for the E6K if you adjust the throttle stop screw...

i told him that pengaru he doesnt listen to me.

I got it. The idle screw on the throttlebody was adjusted. I had to get the intercooler up and off the UIM to see it clearly. I had the throttle cable mount bent to get it started and idleing. Once I found the screw it required the loosening of a jamnut. I removed the nut, turned the screw, started the car and set the idle, reinstalled the jamnut and put the intercooler back on.
Mike is currently on his way back hime to New Jersey. I am sure we will hear more about this adventure. For those of you he bugged the hell out of in the last 48 hrs thank you. We got it on the road, got all the leaks fixed, got the idle set. Hardest thing I had to deal with was the no start condition. I swear I pulled that CAS out 12x trying to make sure I had it right. Coils were checked, spark was checked, etc etc. Its amazing what non-fouled plugs will do..... Sean |
lol yeah non fouled plugs work wonders

So he's driving the car currently on a road trip?
If so, sweet, this should be funny. |
