mabye try piping it around the pipe...like a cooling duct around the pipe...

it may restrict flow and cause wierd flow charistics(sp?) at idle ect when the AC is forcing cold air into the engine...just a thought

why not cut a section of PVC larger than your intake pipe, and pack it with ice? I started typing this as a joke, but now I'm wondering if that would work....wait, dry ice!!

The AC may cool the air 30-40 degrees max over ambient but by the time the air makes its way into the engine, thats even less so I can't see how having your AC on to do this would give you any power gains... not trashing you at all though, its fun to be creative.

When I used to drag race many years ago, I'd go with my cousin's redneck buddies who had their fuel lines coming into the engine bay and running through a cooler packed with ice and of course packed ice bags on their intake manifolds. Cool fuel? not sure if that's an old trick that works or just people thinking it helps.

wow, I can't believe I actually thought of an idea that actually works, that people already use. Heck, it makes sense, and I'm kinda rednecked.

I have run fuel coolers on a few of my past race cars. Dropping the fuel temp makes it less prone to vapor lock. Caused when the fuel in the lines gets too hot and turns to vapor. Causing a "bubble" in the fuel lines, and making the car cough when it hits the engine.

You can actually buy fuel coolers, for just after the pump.

As for the AC, rather then route it to make it cool the air, why not rip it all out, and call that "weight reduction"
