i was looking at the FC3Spro website and they explained that i can just upgrade the compressor side of the turbo to gain more power but retain stock "feel". so i wanted to know what other turbos (junkyard cars) can i "steal" parts from. i am only aiming for 300hp so i am not looking for the biggest ******* tubro out there. just something that brings the fun.

BNRturbos.com

They utilize the stock hotside and manifold, but upgrade the compressor and wheels. They range in stages (1-4) and many people have made great numbers with them. 300hp is easily reachable with a stage 2 or 3 and the appropriate supporting mods (more fuel and a way to control it)

Majesticturbo.com down in Waco texas also has a great upgrade for the stock turbos.

Yeah, Majestic did my turbo. It's been fine.

Nice thing about upgrading the stock Hitachi unit was that I didn't need a new manifold or exhaust--I could keep my nice HKS downpipe.

When I find a little extra money laying around though, I'm going to want a bigger turbo. I don't care about lag or streetability. I just want something that makes huge power from 4.5k to 6.5k. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/v2.gif

actually once you go from the stock hotside to something a little bigger, it gains power everywhere
