Just a quick question regarding series 5 air flow meters... Does anyone know if you can use an 89+ AFM with an 86 ECU? (Its a naturally aspirated car, too).

Thanks

they are not interchangeable. the size of the afm is different and the connectors are different also.

It's possible to do it, but there's some re-wiring required. I knew a guy who had an 88 TII AFM on his 90 TII.
