Well, so I go to install my new HKS oil catch can / blow by can, right.....so, I connect one opening on the can to the block, near the oil filter, and the other line goes into my TID; my thought was, stuff will be pushed out from the engine, go up the line, and enter into the can...I did have a 1 way check vave on it, to ensure it wouldnt cause a leak. I tried to start my car, nothing. Tried again, nothing. Tried and gave it some gas. Started right up, was making a freakish noise and idling at 2k RPM, I remove the line from the block and the idle dips back down to about 1k and settles.

Am I mistaken and this thing needs to connect to something else?

Also, tach is randomly comming on and off, and the car didnt feel like starting unless I cranked and gave it some gas today. Sorta an odd problem, convenient timing..

Thoughts, input, ridicule, appreciated.

...I'm pretty sure the 1st line goes on the nipple on the oil filler neck; not near the filter...

...also, the can is under vacuum, not pressure (TID = atmospheric)...

...put that first line back where it was, and give that a try...

Well with the can connected to the vent port on the block and the other tube left to vent open hanging in the engine bay, things seem to be happy. But I still need to T into the oil filler neck one too.

I dont understand how the can can be under vaccum, also, the hard line that goes under the car, that was the smaller line off the charcoal can, i have it just venting under my hood, I am sure its just a gas tank vent pipe...I think....

I did find a handly dandy diagram, but since I am no longer using the rats nest, it only led to more questions, such as.....the FPR on the secondary rail doesnt need the solenoid does it?

I try to do one thing and end up, upside down in the end with new questions..
