sounds like it. Do a compression check to verify

vosko 01-14-2003 09:04 AM

pull the plugs and listen for whooshes....

1Revvin7 01-14-2003 10:05 AM

man that sucks, sounds like it did blow, what yr/model 7?

silverx7 01-14-2003 10:22 AM

86 na any one got a any help for me

vosko 01-14-2003 10:23 AM

how many miles. did you pull the spark plugs and crank it to see if you can hear compression whooshes from the engine ?

silverx7 01-14-2003 10:24 AM

not yet could it be some thing else?

vosko 01-14-2003 10:26 AM

fuel pump maybe ?

hugues 01-14-2003 10:28 AM

shitty idle and no power,

that pretty much equals blown engine, unfortunately

As everybody else suggested,

do a compression test first, then you'll know exactly where you're at

well its possilbe it could be a vacuum leak, but check the motor first

silverx7 01-14-2003 10:57 AM

i got compresson in both rotars what next

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

silverx7 01-14-2003 11:15 AM

its got 128,000 miles on it and ran really strong never even smoked

hugues 01-14-2003 11:45 AM

well, that's (relatively) good news

now the fun begins

get the factory service manual FSM (section fuel and emissions)

at www.fc3s.org under how-to's->manuals (get 88)

and go for the troubleshooting parts for no power and bad idle

it could be so many things

you may have an error code from the ECU (use the 2 led setup described somewhere to retrieve codes if any).

will a chiltons book help any?

hugues 01-14-2003 12:45 PM

the FSM is best (free to download, as described above)

HAYNES is probably second best

then,

you have CHILTON

i guess no one can help

1Revvin7 01-16-2003 02:36 PM

So u did the compression on each rotor face right? You got 3 reading for each rotor?

silverx7 01-16-2003 03:12 PM

dont know exact reading but theres compression on all rotor faces ... what the hell could it be?
