Well I had my new motor running a couple of weeks ago, and now it doesn't even want to start, even when I try to push start it. What happen whats that I had a S5 NA intake on it and it ran fine, the only thing that was wong was the intake was worpped and I had to put back on the S4 intake that I had.

Well I put back on the S4 intake, plugged all the vac, eletrical stuff into it right spot. I tried to start it and it was really flooded so I did the deflood stuff and it started for about 5 sec with a big backfire at when it started and an even bigger one after it stopped running. Then I tried to start it again and nothing, I tried to push start it and it didn't do anything either.

So I am stuck, I have checked the coils, CAS, fuel injectors and everything. The only think that I havn't checked is the computer. Is there a way to check the fuel computer? I am just stuck and looking for some ideas.

Thanks

PS sorry it is so long.

Did you take the CAS out or mess with the timing? If you did the timing might be off and it would cause you car to to this. To resett the timing to stock align the first mark(I think its the yellow one) on the main pulley with the notch on the front housing. Then romove the CAS and align the gear with the notch on the CAS housing. Then reinsert it without moving as much as you can. You might have to do this a couple of times to get it right. Good luck

Sounds like timing is WAY off. "Afterfire" or what usually inaccurately called backfire has pretty much gotta be timing.

Mine backfires after I have ran it for awhile and then shut it off.But only when it's warm.Thats cause I have no cats or ACV or pump left https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
