I need to purchase a new Turbo for my T2. I am interested in upgrading while I'm spending the time and money, but I don't know what to buy and where pricing should be. I hope you guys can help.

It's for an S4 T2, no mods yet, but the following will be done shortly.

Knight Sports FCD

Walbourgh Fuel Pump

Greddy Boost Gauge

Apex GT cat back exhaust

Racing Beat downpipe and midpipe

RE Amemiya/Trust FMIC

HKS BOV

The motor has excellent compression. I'm looking to produce 350-400rwhp. What is a good choice for a turbo and manifold? This guy sells T04's on eBay all day long for $425. (Auction) Is this a good upgrade? Should I look at a different model? What is the best manifold to get with the turbo? I would like to keep costs down as low as possible, I've already sunk a bunch of cash into the car.

Thanks.

that would be a decent turbo for 350-400rwhp however you'll need more fuel and computer tuning than jsut an FCD. Its going to be a nightmare unless you get a stand alone. Run the HKS cast manifold and wastegate, your costs will be pretty cheap overall leaving you alot for the haltec you're going to need.

Just buy a gt 35/40 kit from rotaryman88 and get a haltec, some larger injector, fuel rail, and fuel pressure regulator.

Yeah, I assumed I was going to need a fuel computer. I have thought about trying to get away with an S-AFC for a little while. I might just flip for the Haltech though. I don't like having to do things twice. It's just not an inexpensive proposition. $1,000 for the Haltech then installation, tuning, and dyno time.

Any other thoughts on the turbo choice?

I looked at it, it's way high dollar. $3,600 for a turbo and manifold is out of a reasonable price range for a car that I purchased for $1,500. Maybe I could see spending that much money if it came with the stand alone computer, injectors, and so forth. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I not saying the kit isn't worthy, it just doesn't make sense for my application.

Plus, FC3S.org sells a GT 35/40 kit for about $3k. Still expensive though. Your best bet to keep it cheap, would be to get a S5 turbo and send it off to BNR.

How much is it to have them redone at BNR? What is the difference between doing that and just purchasing the T04?
