try gettinh your hands on an ecu you can borrow. Ecu components can blow hell of a lot fater than the fuse that protects it!
is it cranking ?
Yea what isn't it doing? I mean you coul have tossed the started solenoid, the ECU, hell you could have sent the fusbox into meltdown. Is it turning over, do you have spark?
A similar thing happened to me in my '85. When the battery slid forward and grounged out on the hood it fuggin bbq'd everything. Burnt insulation off wires all the way. I had to replace all, wiring harness, main fuses, ecu, starter sylenoid, fuse box, coils. it was pretty messy, I hope your prob isn't as bad as mine was.
good luck James |
well the engine seems like it want to turn on but it seems like theres no spark....i haven't really checked for spark because i dont know how to so if u guys could help me with that i could check for that.......i got a new ecu and replaced it so thats new and all my fuses are fine.....and the starter is fine becuase you can hear it trying to start the car......my opinion is that i'm not getting spark....but like i said i dont know how to check for that.....another thing is the Black and Yellow wire coming out of the main relay is testing very dim when i tested it with a test light....is that normal??......and my coil pack (nearest the brake booster) seems to have a dim light as well when tested the other one is fine.....
i just checked for spark and i'm not getting any spark....could it be my crank angle sensor???.....i heard that perticular sensor is what gives the ecu the signal to fire the spark.....i doubt its the computer becuase i have a new one......if anyone can give me advice.....

could be the CAS
