ya but the s5 are load sensing, and suxors to put on a s4. If i upgraded it'd be to a s6, but I still don't feel that I need to do that. I don't run an e fan or any additional amplifier tho. Just my fuel pump and ignition to draw current.

I have an FD alt and it works nice. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

It only cost me 165 shipped. I didn't think it was that bad considering what it costs to buy a new FC alternator and add a dual belt pully. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Also has to do with the type of battery you have and the condition for the wires and terminal. If you don't have problem, more power to you.

I run stock everything, just a haltech and stock radio with good heavy wires and ground, and still didn't keep up. Some people are sensitive oh how good they want their voltage system to be. I'm very sensitive, I don't like to have my voltage to drop at idle with the lights on below 13.6 Just my taste.

I think not having enought power at idle with the lights and/or heater or defroster on is the most common complain. Once you get going is usually ok.
