If I found a dead NA S5 and used the S5 T2 driveline I might be buying here in the next week can I use the stock ECU or does it have to be the T2's ecu?

I know I need tranny mounts and I'll need to shorten the driveshaft which the machine shop here does but is the input spline on the driveshaft the same between the T2 and NA ones?Just wondering my options.

Thanks

This is because I might get the driveline here soon and I can buy a FC or I can go faster and drop it in a FB body.Just looking at options.

You only need to change ECUs to control auto trannies, so no you don't need teh s5 t2 ecu. Im not sure on the input spline but if its like every other thing on the t2 drivetrain, its gonna be bigger.

So tha NA driveshaft won't slide on to the tranny then? Both car and driveline are manual.I was just wondering if I need to change ECU's if I get this 89 GXL or if I can use the stock ECU with a shortened driveshaft and need the tranny mounts and should be good to go?

thanks

You don't need to change Ecu, keep the one you got. Im not sure on the driveshaft.
