long story short I want the turbo's injectors for primaries, and the gsl-se's for secondaries.
http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2ndgen/t...ector_info.html just looking for a little more grunt toward the redline, and figured why not? anyone do this before, or is anyone going to scream at me not to? is my car going to blow black smoke? -Hill |
Doesn't it already run rich?
What are your mods? |
nothing really special as far as mods go... header, pre-silencer, and apexi cat back, K&N filter, dual butterflies removed, hotter coils and so on and so on. nothing that really makes a huge difference or that would make it so I NEED larger injectors. I was just bored and looking around for something to spend money on to make my car a little quicker.

You're n/a right?
More fuel by itself isn't going to make your car any faster. Could very well make it slower. If you know you're going lean on the top end (do you have a wideband O2 sensor?), I could see upgrading the secondaries, but putting in bigger primaries is just going to reduce your fuel efficiency with no benefit whatsoever. If you need to spend money, you could try getting a wideband and an S-AFC. I have heard that you can pick up some power by actually leaning out the midrange. |
yeah, I wasnt sure if the ECU would be able to tell it was running rich (via o2 sensor) with the larger injectors and adjust accordingly. I was hoping the larger injectors would give the engine more poop if/when it needed it. does that make sense? not looking for tons of (or any) horsepower by getting larger injectors, just looking for something to do. it sucks being bord and out of ideas. guess I'll start saving for that webber ITB setup I saw and the haltech to run it.... this may take some time...
maybe a T2 motor will magically appear on craigslist in my area..... that would be nice... oh well, thanks anyways. -hill |
Do you have fully upgraded suspension yet?

ha ha, no. quite the opposite actually. good point |
save your money and get a t2, it costs too much money to make an n/a fast. I know from experience.
|
the stock NA fuel system has enough capacity to handle a lot of power, in most stiuations, people are actually leaning em out cause its too rich. spend the money on something else, lightweight flywheel, good shocks...
