I wired a nice little switch to the side of the steering column tied into the fuel pump relay under the dash. It worked great, when I turned off the switch, the engine died like it was supposed to.
The problem was, it occasionally still flooded when you tried to start it, even with the switch off. After having the injectors tested for leakage & everthing else I could think of: I discovered that that the fuel pump relay has 2 circuits that energize it. One, from the AFM which was wired to my switch. The other is straight from the ignition switch so in effect, my switch was by-passed during startup. I ended up adding a 30A 12V relay to the fuel pump circuit itself. Now all is well. I have the wiring diagrams if anyone's interested. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif |

ON TOPIC: I just installed a fuel cutoff that goes directly to the fuel pump positive, is that bad? It works great, but when it's cold, it's still a bitch to start.
