I talked to my father this morning and he recieved my 87 TII and 90 GTU this morning.

the TII doesnt have an engine or tranny. i plan on putting a series V jspec in it. i was going to go with a 13b-RE, but i dont have THAT much money to spend on it right now.

the 90 GTU is complete (minus the @oddamn tailights!!!!!)

i may need a rebuild (probably will) but i can just put the engine out of my GXL into that while rebuilding it. i will probably do a large street port on it bu noting realy drastic that will affect the driveability.

my first born (GXL) will become my all out fun toy and will be as far from street legal as possible https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

atleast i'm a happy man..... ah crap.... where's my gun :bigok:

Muad'Dib 10-27-2002 05:55 PM

this is the TII interior, he sold a lot of the surrounds and switches, moreso on the GTU but i have a lot of the replacements...

i personally dont find parting out and selling a car at the same time, to be a good business practice

Banzai i will be making large purchases of a lot of switches and small stuff from you

Justin

Muad'Dib 10-27-2002 05:59 PM

this is the tail end of the GTU and the Turbo on the tow truck, turbo has blue NA hood but i wanted a front mount anyways

Muad'Dib 10-27-2002 06:00 PM

this is the trashed GTU interior, good condition just missing some stuff

Muad'Dib 10-27-2002 06:01 PM

TII with blue hood

Muad'Dib 10-27-2002 06:07 PM

this is the back of the GTU, missing the damn tailights cant figure out what the tape looking stuff is

vosko 10-27-2002 06:42 PM

i see TII seats in the GTU. maybe its a GTUs ?

Felix Wankel 10-27-2002 07:24 PM

Nah, they are the wrong color. Also the TII has some S5 NA rims on it and the GTU is missing the wing.

Hope those were cheap.

i agree.....

dysthymia 10-28-2002 01:17 AM

If you're interested in parting out the GTU, I'll take the front end.

Muad'Dib 10-28-2002 11:26 AM

why would i buy two cars to part them out, that just sounds stupid to me, i got them both for 1000. the guy who sold them to me admittedly didnt know what he was getting into with RX-7s. his friend got him into it.

he was really surprised when i told him i was going to rebuild the GTU engine.

there will be no parting out here, so dont ask, i kinda find it offensive....

although i believe there are some extra parts in the cars that i will sell, but i odnt know what all is there yet

Justin

RX7CMS 10-28-2002 11:54 AM

If you pick it up you can have my 91 GXL for $800. everything is on the inside but cd player and speakers. the out side is ok dammage to the right side door. no motor and a bad auto trans. also its black on black

Rob x-7 10-28-2002 12:55 PM

Wow, those cars look like they ALOT of work.

Good luck to you.

By the way, If you havent taken that tape off yet, my guess would be there are holes under the tape. Unless someone just went tape crazy.

banzaitoyota 10-28-2002 01:45 PM

I have 5 :stickpoke:

Felix Wankel 10-28-2002 02:42 PM

Looks like he'll need 5 total to get those two road worthy.

banzaitoyota 10-28-2002 02:55 PM

Sometimes a good deal isn't what it seems :(. I woould pick the best and mix-n-match. Sell off unneeded parts to pay for needed stuff

Felix Wankel 10-28-2002 03:04 PM

I built one of my parts (an 88 GXL with nothing but a shell and a differential) cars back into a road car for my brother. Without his complete wrecked car to use for parts, it would have been insanely expensive and much, much more of a headache.

Those two are a MAJOR project.

1988RedT2 10-28-2002 03:43 PM

Bunch of darn skeptics! It's nothing a bunch of time and money can't fix. Good luck to you! :bigok:

i dont want to start a collection and i would never buy an NA without an engine for anything more than 200 dollars. with an auto tranny i woul prolly only pay 50

Justin

edit: didnt mean to sound rude, the reason i got these was due to locationand price, wheni first strted dealing with him, the were mostly complete.

but i will buy your tails, wing, headliner(if has sunroof), and front carpet as well as all of the plastic in the dashboard...

thanks

Justin

Muad'Dib 10-28-2002 03:57 PM

i dont think anybody understands, i have 90% of the parts that these two cars are missing.

it will only cost me 1500 dollars to have a S5 13BT in the TII with tranny and everything, that is pretty simple.

all the GTU needs is my spare engine and some tailight out of a local junkheap. i cant believe the amount of pessimism in here. i dont know what is worse, pessimists in this forum or morons in the "other forum"

i am alread in debt by about $40K this is a MINOR job for me.

Justin

vosko 10-28-2002 04:01 PM

Im sorry, i wasnt really offended by anything that was written (cept asking for parts of my car) aftr dealing with s much BS from the Rx7club, this forum is a nice change from all of the morons.

but you have to admit (and i will admit it to) that second gen guys and guru's are very often **** and pessimistic. maybe i just expect annoying responses and should lighten up...... but ANYWAYS

now that i have three sevens what do you think i should do with each (not including parting them out https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...)

my ideas are in my sig

Justin

Muad'Dib 10-28-2002 11:52 PM

Banzai chec your PMs

cozmoid 10-29-2002 12:51 AM

Good luck with your sevens. they look like you are going to have some fun, busy weekends. Good thing it's always worth it when you are working on a rotor.Do all the american models have different names? Im from New Zealand and we dont have GTU or TII etc. But i suppose they aint any different from NZ/Jap Import right hand drives. Have fun with your sevens!

I also worship Shai Hulud!

Good Times

I honestly can't believe you'd take offense to any of us asking us if you were parting out the cars. Its a simple question, not one to get your panties in a twist about.

Muad'Dib 11-06-2002 05:01 PM

dysthymia,

try this on for size, say you go buy a house and it needs a little work, how would you feel if somebody came by and asked if they could take a wall or two for their house....

I just bought these cars and come on here excited about having them, common sense should have answered your question for you. people (john excluded) dont buy cars to part them out especially if they are happy to own them

no big deal, just a matter of common courtesy

Justin

banzaitoyota 11-06-2002 05:12 PM

I sold one of mine! Here it is going to Canada!

Muad'Dib 11-07-2002 12:48 PM
