i think that **** is hot. i think it would look way better if it was sheet metal though. had one in a civic round tracker i helped build and it was badass. ahh.. the tach comment... you see that 10K better when its sittin sideways... i always have mine so that the peak RPMs are right at my direct eyesite..

Its weighs 3#s! I wonder what the stock unit weighs? 50#s? They said the sides just need a little trimming to fit.

i dunno about the fc, but an 84-85 dash is 44lbs, complete (radio, giages, **** in the glovebox, etc). that thing is 3lbs by itself

i say cf fd dash would be neat. of course not an exact replica but one near it . make it yourself and it will be cheaper than anything you can buy.

I dunno....I think it looks pretty cheapo.

After seeing the recent Super Street mag with that sick Nissan Micra R that Nissan GB did, I've been thinking about having my dashboard flocked.

Flocking is where they coat something with an adhesive, positively charge it, and go over it with negatively charge tiny fibers, causing them to stick to the surface and stand up straight. they then shave the fibers to a short, uniform length.

Its very durable (they do this for some commercial entry way rugs) and it looks VERY sweet.

You can kinda see the effect in this pic:
