im scared of over boosting and blowing something. Thats why i wanna keep it at like 10psi. I want to be able to drive daily on 300rwhp not have it turn on and off. This is a work in progress so its not required to all be done at once. I was going with a VMIC as the first upgrade and some pullies and stuff. Then upgrade the turbo.

OOOK, but 10psi wont net 300whp...

OOOK, but 10psi wont net 300whp... im new to the turbo rotary thing. It was a N/A prior to engine swap. how high can you safly boost? |
Keep it stock boost on the stock fuel system.
|
yea, i agree with ronin, keep it stock til u know the car a bit better. Was the chassis N/A before the swap, or is it a 6 port N/A block with a turbo slapped on the side?
|
5psi 10psi 25psi dont make a damn. Tune it and build it right. Porting is over rated in my opinion well over 550whp can be had on stock ports.
10psi will net 300whp on stock ports with a gt35R :-) |
I run 10psi with a stock turbo ECU. No emmisions, and a cone air filter.
the wastegate is ported though. |
FC Rotorhead, have you done anything to the fuel system? the increased flow and boost must be begging for some more fuel or bigger secondaries, since the stockers start out at damn close to 60% duty cycle
|
man sorry for the REAL late reply...
I have nothing done to the fuel system. Its completely stock. But I know it runs richer than hell because I only get like 250km per tank....... and I always smell like gas everytime I get out of my car. haha but yes, I agree with you, I may need bigger secondaries to be on the safe side. A standalone will be something i will be looking at really soon. |
its not runing rich I can promise you that. 10psi is maxing out the stock fuel system. You realy should put an FD pump in there at least.
