Do you have any kind of fuel controller?
|
no i dont

yah I think you need some kind of fuel cut or something like that to run more boost.....I think I need one to.

i have a fcd .

It's not so much how much boost you can make, rather, how big your balls are. Are you on the stock turbo? You should get at least an S-AFC to go with your injectors. I've ran like 13ish PSI on my old FC without fuel cut and a stock IC mounted in the front and stock injectors. That was when I was on the wild side. I ran for months like this with no problems. It's all a game of craps though. You might win, you might loose.
If you don't plan on running some sort of fuel control than get a Air/Fuel Ratio gauge or even better one with a wide-band O2 sensor. You can run the max boost on a stock turbo if you want to. It's just a matter of how long it'll last. |
thanks so im guessing 12psi . and i do have a Air/Fuel Ratio gauge +boost turborotor told me to get them two along time ago .

If it was my car I would not go past 10 PSI. That would be somewhat safe.
Honestly like rmaiersg said you need some fuel control. Its a crap shoot. Get it on a dyno and make sure its not running lean it will be worth the cost of a pull or two to save an blown engine. |
i agree, 10 be the max i'd go now after running 14 psi (with stock fuel system) for awhile. it was fun while it lasted, but it did eventually pop on me after alot of abuse.
