Ive been wanting to put an electric fan in my gtu. What fan should i use, and how can i wire it to be controlled by the thermostat? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

you need temperature sensor inline to the input of rad that will activate a 12V relay for the fan. Find a fan, wire the 12V power lead to the ouput of the 12V relay. For the input you need 12V fused from the battery +ve terminal, and the control input being the thermal sensor inline of the input to the rad.

you can buy an electric fan thermo switch from summit, alot of them will come with a relay and all and an adjustment knob, i think painless wiring makes one

I know that no one knows exactly, but how much hp gain is expected doing this conversion?
|
theres no hp gain in switching to electric fan, it would only be suggested if your oem fan is broken or you need the space in the engine bay
