Along with all the goodies i will be ordering shortly i want to get a fuel cell. Will any size fuel pump fit in there? how does this work? And which fuel pump do u guys recommend, i don't want one that is LOUD. I seen walbros on BNR supercars for $110. Too good to be true?

If you go with a fuel cell you'll need an external pump. The Aeromotive pump is a good choice at about $290. Some people like to go with dual Bosch pumps. SX makes a good pump. Weldon pumps are very good, but they are LOUD. You'll need a filter before the pump, as well as SS braided lines. -10 would be good to the motor, and then you could run -6 for the fuel rails. You'll also need a good regulator and then SS braided lines for the return. Your stock fuel level gauge won't work with a fuel cell. So you'll need an aftermarket gauge. How do you plan on mounting the fuel cell?

Fuel cells are nice on all out race cars with custom chassis or narrowed rear ends and ****. They usually only hold a little bit of gas, unless you were to get a monster fuel cell for autocross or something.

thats why i was asking. ahaha ty Ace. Hmmm maybe not.[/quote] A good in-tank pump should be fine up to around 500 HP. After that you could just sump your existing tank and run a big external pump. The fuel cell route is really a waste of time for a street car. |
