Stupid pos goes off every time I unlock the car with the key. I have to keep pulling the negative battery cable off to shut it off.

if you lock the car with the key, rather than with the inside lock, then the alarm should never set. But, if your sysem is screwed up, who knows what it does.
There's probably a fuse for it in the box. |
Disconnect the horn..
|
the lights will still flip up though
|
lol. get a Haynes manual. Your alarm computer is wired into the stock Cpu/ so get a haynes manual and it 'should' list where to dissconnect the stock alarm fuse..
Good luck Markus |
I have the same damn problem. I resorted to opening the car from the passenger door.
Works jsut fine that way. I disconnected the damn thing from the door panel and it was still going off. Beats me. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png |
i found that it seams ok if i lock it with the key

there is a box, i think under the glovebox for the alarm

I had an aftermarket alarm that the previous owner didn't tell me about. I ended up yanking wires out of the siren thing, then unplugging the horns. Later I got the Mazda mechanics to let my horn work. There was also a silver box that ticked, I think it was like a vibration sensor or something. I was working on the engine and couldn't stand the ticking, so I yanked it out and smashed it with a hammer. I through out the damn siren thing, and I have yet to follow the wire into my firewall to see where it goes. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif
