[quote name='knonfs' date='Mar 23 2005, 06:59 AM']You can ground the switch like others said, or you can remove the whole thing. i have been running the car without it for a year or so, not because I choose to, but because the switch failed on me!

The switch cables goes to a plug behind the driver side kickpanel, unplug it, and either make a loop cable, or cut them and splice the cables. I used a 12G (that all I had at the time it ailed) 3 inches long cable, I then crimped one spade conector on each end of the cable.

It is also is a kick-out for the cruise control.

That leaves you with the brake switch & the dash button.

THere is no point to removing it. I took mine out thinking it wasn't working right but it ended up as the starter. I still use the clucth to start up the car. Its just easier that way. But what they are saying works so good luck. Just try and not do it when its snowing on you and your car is stuck in the middle of the driveway. That really sucks.

Disable the clutch swith? that's a great idea, run out in your garage because you are in a hurry, stick the key in and crank it over, not realizing that you had left the car in gear the night before, CRASH, now you get to fix your car and the wall between the garage and the utility room.
