everytime I start car I loose a little more fluid. Need to fix that but also would like to change that safety bs.



clutch in to start is only for retards...imop.

there is no reason to do that https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif the clutch in is just that, a saftey feature, and is there for a reason. leave it. if your really that annoyed with it, there's a switch behind the assembly somewhere that you have to ground out i think and it'll stay activated all the time, personaly, i think anyone who want's to get rid of that is a tard, mine has saved me from alot of trouble

just bypass the switch and have it always see 12V

I have a brand new master cylinder and a brand new slave cylinder for my 88 GTU if you want them make me an offer.

I've daily driven a stick for 15 years and I've never found that particular safety feature to be an inconvenience. It just becomes automatic after awhile. Unless you've only got one leg or something.



Sure you can defeat it, but I'd leave it alone. The ass you save could be your own.

that "saftey" "feature" is only found on the north american cars, i find that a little insulting. bypass the switch and prove to the world you're not a moron!

Is that feature on the s4? I know I don't have to hold my clutch in, but then again there are a bunch of things on my car that don't function properly.

they put it on sometime in 87 i think, my 86 didnt have it.

You can ground the switch like others said, or you can remove the whole thing. i have been running the car without it for a year or so, not because I choose to, but because the switch failed on me!



The switch cables goes to a plug behind the driver side kickpanel, unplug it, and either make a loop cable, or cut them and splice the cables. I used a 12G (that all I had at the time it ailed) 3 inches long cable, I then crimped one spade conector on each end of the cable.
