Hey, i'm a new Guy just bought my first car and it happened to be a 87 Turbo II (for $365/62,000K... YES IT RUNS) um... but first i need a resonably cheep exaust that is gonna give me EXTREME SOUND. and basicly we will work from there and the car sat for 6-7 years and its been a major project for about 4 weeks now and definatly can use some of your best... i was refered to these forums by a... pengru or somthin like that and he said that some pretty tricked out Rotary Entusiast along with Tricked out rides are among you. so help me out .

How is a turbo going to have true duals?



Loudest would be a downpipe off the turbo and, that's it. Just a down pipe. Extreme sound to the fullest.



Seriously, some of the "louder" exhausts would be the Apex'i N1, or the Cork Sport exhaust. Anything with a straight thru muffler design and big piping.

Dang, and i was thinking i caught a deal when i got my 87 for 350 with a blown engine.

i have jsut a 3" downpipe on right now and it's loud as crap

ok and another question the car sat for 6-7 years with about NO runing at all so it took about a grand to just get it running (that includes all new brake assembly on all four corners) and i'm woried about the seals and stuff should i use a break in oil and like RE-break it in. and if so could you recomend a good oil and a good weight.

I would just change all the fluids, and drive it nice the first few weeks to minimize any damage if anything fails due to old age/sitting, like a hose popping or anything... then as your confidence in the car increases start beating on it more.





Some things to seriously consider replacing, oil cooler lines, coolant hoses (including the heater hoses), clutch hose, and the rubber brake lines at all four corners are a good idea too. Old rubber that experiences decent pressure is a good idea to replace with either new OEM rubber or upgrade to stainless steel braided rubber hose.



Theres also the obvious things like the oil filter, fuel filters, thermostat ....
