tell me how the **** this mount is supposed to bolt to my tranny.
another pic of it
pix of the tranny and do you see the mounting postion? its right about the jack, thats where i think im missing something.
another pic but this one is shitty, notice the tranny has a flat mounting spot yet the tranny mount is shaped in a V WTF????
Those pics are very artistic. :bigthumg: Maybe a pic from farther away, or hold the mount up to were u think it is supposed to attach to and take a pic.
You are missing a big rubber biatch, goes between that funky piece of metal, you need a new transmission mount, they are like 25 at the dealer and worth replacing anyhow.

the comp tranny mounts are only $10 each LOL https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Well i check mazdatrix and they have the mount listed, the actuall tranny mounts and the Y-section, I already have all these hmmmm ****? they are all like $100 total too.
ok i put the mount in, but the tranny has no way to bolt to the mount, it just sits on it. I know its not supposed to do that. Could someone look under their friggin car and tell me how it bolts to the mount, ie 1 bolt 2 bolts center etc.
ok so maybe this is either an n/a mount, an s5 mount, maybe my tranny is an s5/ or vice versa. How can I tell what series my tranny is?
The metal part with the big stud is different for 87-88 and 89-91 TII transmissions. They're not really interchangeable. The 2 rubber mounts bolt to that part, and then they bolt onto the crossmember.
see this ****?
So what part do i need to buy? god this is gay.
There should be a place on the transmission for the metal piece with the big stud to bolt onto. You need that metal piece and the proper crossmember, along with new rubber mounts if those are worn out.
Thats what i kept asking people if i was missing a piece on my tranny, ok thxs ace, now i just gotta find somewhere to get one. Mazdatrix does not have it. Guess i will run to the dealer tommorrow. Those are competition mounts and have only been used slightly. What weird about this mount is the part that is supposed to screw into the tranny is welded, that big bolt is welded on the top( as you can see in the very first pic). Thxs for all the help.

tight pics, nice camera

I guess I'll reply here for the others that don't read the "other forum" https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
looks like an S5 mount. same as mine. but the bottom of the tranny looks diff. my best guess is it's an S5 mount, and S4 tranny. and they must be different. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif here's mine http://www.1300cc.com/trannymount2.jpg |
it's an s4 tranny and an s5 mount I can tell you that much.
yup!!!thxs again scott! damn its finally solved!
No prob, sorry it took me so long, it's just that i have seen so many of both lately I couldn't remember which was which LOL, but after tossing the tranny in mine yesterday it was obvious.
You gotta get an s4 tranny mount somewhere. |
