Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and somewhat new to the awesome rotary engine. Not too long ago, I picked up a 1st generation RX-7 powered by a S5 turbo II, set up non-turbo with a Jaytech intake and holley 600cfm carb. To say the least, I ran a bit too much n20 and my fuel pump couldnt hang (my fault I know.) I have recently picked up a 6 port NA 13b to replace my 4 port TII. I notice that the front cover on the turbo II has a bracket for the motor mounts. The new motor I got has the mounts on the side of the engine. Im pretty sure I need to swap over the front cover and oil pan to compensate for the mounts in my car (turbo II style.)The crank pulley bolt will not come loose on either engine, but I hear they have a tendancy to seize.

Any info provided could really help me out: what I need to swap to the new motor and methods of removing the crankshaft pulley bolt.

Thanks,

Cody

make sure the pully bolt does not have the lock on it yet, ie. the plate that holds it in place then if its off get a flywheel stopper and a big ass breaker bar and pull with all your might. its not that the bolt is seiezed its cause it has a large copper sealing ring on it and also alot of them have mazda sealent on the threads of the bolt .[quote name='SidewaysSA22' date='Mar 17 2005, 12:13 PM']Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and somewhat new to the awesome rotary engine. Excellent, Your insight has definately helped me. With this info I should be able to swap out the front covers to retain my mounts. So I am correct with the swapping of the oil pans? Seeing as how the 6 port NA has the mount coming out of the oil pan? and the TII at the front.

Thank you so much

Cody
