How can you tell the difference between a turbo II s4 LSD and an S4 N/A LSD?

I know the ring gear sizes are different (7in and 8 in) but how/what do I measure or what else can I look for. Please keep in mind is all I have is a bare lsd.

Thanks

John

Post a pic up, and I'll compare it to what I have sitting on the shelf on my garage https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

LOL- OK I will- tomorrow. Also- would you be able to measure the distance between the ring gear bolt holes- center to center??

Sorry for the late reply, but my friend forgot to measure the rear diff he had.

The number he gave me was 5.0" on the I.D. of the ring gear.

So the LSD would mount snugly to this I.D. spec.

To me, it looks like the pic on the right...
