Im new to this bored i just aquired a 86 rx7 and i got it running today but it seems to over heat like boil over when u give it gas i put a new radiator fan is good and i flushed to coolant system? and my second in quiery the idle on it is spontanious when i idles it goes from about 500 to 2000 ever second or so?? any help would be greatly appreciated so i can get to the track fellas thanks

that idle problem is either a vacuum leak or misadjusted TPS. You probably have air in the coolant system, u should change the radiator caps (use oem ones). Does that idle get better once the car warms up?

It dosent seem to quit when it warms up how do i fix the air in the radiator problem and how do i find the vacume leak by the way thanks for the suggestion you now have me starting somewhere

first thing to check is the throttle position sensor, they are very troublesome

the air in the coolant can be fixed on a cold car, you squeeze the upper radiator hose until no more air comes out. make sure you have the heater on

theres a screw unde rthe tb to adjust the tps. this is what the tps looks like this
