Does anybody know if there is a company that makes an a pillar guage that holds 2 guages and will fit a 90tII with the automatic seat belts. I just bought an Autometer boost guage ( size 2 1/16 in.) and an Autometer air/fuel guage (size 2 1/16 in. ) and need a pod to put them in. I would like to have an a pillar pod so that 1: I don't have to put a huge hole in my dash or something and 2: I don't have to look all the way across my car to see it while trying to get a kill. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Dude I searched all over the guage section and didn't see anything listed for an s4. Is it in another spot ( under another listing)?

S4 = 86 - 88

The pod over there is listed for a 86 - 91.

I see...lol... thanks man. Thats the one I was looking at. I figured that would be the only one and that it would have to be modified. You know it seems like everything I put in my car has to be modified a little to either fit or look good....lol.

i have the autometer dual gauge pod on mine. it fits. i need to install it properly though it's half assed on there right now LOL

Yea, you can just buy the 86 to 88(otherwise known as series 4 or s4) pod and use a hair dryer or some heat object to sort of bend(NOT MELT) but bend the pod around a little to fit...I'll post a pic of one in my buddy's '91 T2...

Here's the pic...like I said, it'll fit and it looks fine too. You probably can't notice from the pic, but it did fit tightly and looks good from the outside too...

hmm. i think i'm gonna do that my doesn't look nearly as nice installed !

I hate automatic seatbelts! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png

Rotaryman88 06-19-2002 10:54 AM

We used a heat gun and bent the pod into shape to make it fit better on the '91...I'm pretty sure a hair dryer will work too, it'll just take more time, lol...

vosko 06-19-2002 11:29 AM

i can borrow the heat gun from work

Oh yeah, I guess I should have thought about that for half a sec. There is no place for them. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

Hey thanks for all the info. I ordered the guage pod today. It should be here by Friday. I think I'll use the hair dryer trick to make it fit tight. Thanks all!!!!! You guys are great.
