I am under the impression that my rx-7 is a GTU, but it does not have any GTU badges. Is it a GTU or am I wrong. How do you tell the difference? It was originallly ordered by the owner of a dealership for his personal use. I don't know if he ordered it without badges or if he took them off, or it isn't a GTU. Help

Check the diff for a tag on the cover that says limited slip compatible lube only. Of course its possible a limited slip was installed on the car after the factory.
Other ways of telling would be if it has TII seats and no sunroof. |
Please describe tII seats , and I do have a sun roof.
|
TII seats have a lot more side bolstering than NA seats where there basically isnt any side bolstering.
So basically they look like an 80s version of a Sparco torino. |
what year is it

i only know cause the lil "s" on the badge. besides, from what i hear about mazda just throwing parts together a GTU could look like a GTUs and have all the same options and yet not be a "GTUs".

the gtus will have no foglights, no sunroof, manal windows, a limited slip with 4.30 gears. they also have the turbo seats, turbo rims

I is an 89. I have no fog lights, manual windows, sun roof, what you described as TII seats, that have the black and white sort of checked fabric, and the original rims had ten spoke like things grouped in two's. Would the Vin # indicate any of those features? It also has the mirrors with the aredynamic holes in them, the moldings that go around the hole car is painted the same color as the car RED

is the sunroof power operated?
|
yes the sun roof is power operated.
