i dub thee car "smokey"

its oil smoke alright, but i cant tell if its premix or broken motor smoke.

Seppuku 11-28-2003 01:02 PM

id rather it be left at premix smoke. The car never smoked at all when i parked it and its only been smoking the last few days. but it had the premix in it before the smoke started. My mop isnt completly disconected its still slightly running just without the rod connected to the TB. Im guessing that plus the mixture in the gas is enough to make it smoke that bad.

does it smell like the yard does after the landscapers leave?

it's usually quite easy to tell if it's premix or not, it reeks of 2 stroke engine when it's premix.

Seppuku 11-28-2003 04:14 PM

well with my alergies i can barely smell but from what i can tell theres a little bit of premix and alot of gas. It doesnt smell that much different than it did before. I'll have someone double check the smell later on.

I would leave the stock fan and shroud and not mess with a electric

one.

teknics 11-29-2003 09:35 PM

How long has it been itting? if it been ndown long that could be why its smoking, getit warmed up and rev it smoothly, that may cure the smoking.

o and i vote for electric fan, Stock fan i so oogly,

kevin.

but works great, not like you can see it under the shroud anyhow.

and after seeing some people's wiring jobs, its best they dont mess

with wiring, not saying that it applies in this situatuion, but you get the idea.

yea my car is a good example of wiring gone wrong, i love people who use electrical tape as a replacement for solder or the proper connectors.

i dunno i was just never a fan of that shroud it takes up so much room in my eyes.
