I had a couple of issues with the vert I will be selling

-The oil cooler was leaking at the fitting, figuring it would need a o-ring, I put a socket on it and for fun gave it a couple of turns to tighten it, to my surprise it did, about 4 or 5 turns- no more leak!

- The car was hard going in gear, any gear. Jim had put a different clutch in the car when we did the motor, the adjuster under the dash was corroded from sitting, not alot , but enough where you couldnt turn the nut. Sprayed some PB on it, and like an hour later tried to adjust the clutch, it adjusted, and now it goes in and out of gears smoothly.

The passenger side window didnt work, I first jumped the motor with 12volts, no good. Then I cleaned the contacts on the plug, still no good. I took the switch out and not to my surprise- it was all corroded inside, probably from sitting for so long ( 3 years ), cleaned it with some sandpaper, scotch brite, and some electrical cleaner, and it now works fine as well!

Slowly I am finding all the silly little annoying things that dont work on the car are solved by cleaning and inspecting. The only thing left is the stereo, seems as though the amps arent coming on, I bet some cleaning will do the trick!

Just thought I would share some of this and get some traffic in here.

Good deal! Its always nice when you easily fix something most people would pay out the ass to replace. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

By the way, I found out that a local re-builder who does alternators

and starters also does top motors and window motors, they normally get about $30 to fix a window motor. I bet they can do headlight motors as well.

thats what we are saying, fixing annoying little things is one of the

things that makes the car more enjoyable. Its nice when it doesnt leak

and everything works in addition to running well.

I am like 1revvin, cant leave it alone, runs good, smooth, no problems, what do I do, take it apart and play with it. My car was given to me because they said it had no compression, and with your help, I found out what a little atf will do. Now she runs great. Life is good.
