the cold starting fluid resivuior against the firewall on the passenger side .... what does that need to be filled with? Anti-freeze? and if it isn't full what happens?

Seppuku 09-01-2003 01:12 AM

Nothing happens if its not full. It just injects it at start up if the temps are cool. Its a mix of coolant and water, i beleive 90% coolant and 10% water

pengaru 09-01-2003 01:50 AM

just remove it

I figured if he couldnt read the cap on it to figure out what goes in it that he'd be lost getting it off. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Anyway if you do remove it they slide off the bracket and sometimes are stuck pretty good. Just cap the line for the injector.

Well, he's gotta learn sometime so pulling it off might be a good experience for a novice https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

And here I thought that was why we owned these cars, so we could take things out of the engine bay and never put them back.

MazdaEnthused 09-02-2003 04:00 PM

how easy is it to pull it exactly? and cap the line with what?

i have a pair of saftey glasses because of Auto Servicing (highest auto class) so i will use them now because of an inspiration from Dak.
