Do you think running on one rotor would cause my little catalytic converter to get cherry red, or do you think its clogged? If I let my car warm up completely I can feel the heat with my hand if I just stick it out the drivers side door.

Maybe the unburned fuel of the rotor that is not working finishes its burning in the precat. Could it be?

You should disconnect the injectors of this rotor since it doesn't produce any power.

Thats what I was thinking, but wasn't sure. The exhaust system is in great shape visually, looks almost new. I never did an actual compression test on the motor. I just listened to the rotors go by with the spark plugs out and heard quite a difference in sounds between the front and rear. I could only here one distinct swoosh in the rear. At first I thought two apex seals may have went to ****, but if one apex seal is not functioning it effects two of the three chambers of compression right? Is this why I only heard one distinct swoosh in the rear, when I heard three in the front? Just a thought anyways.

That sounds like it, but maybe the apex is sticky and doesn't sit. Have you checked through the leading plug hole, and see if all apexes are still there? If so, try to do the ATF trick. :sigh:

I haven't. Do you mean looking and prodding through the hole or what? I have already purchased a rebuild kit so ripping it apart is in my destiny. I look forward to it. It is not my daily driver so I can take my time.

In fact, you just need a mirror and a light, and look into the hole in the mirror, lighting it using the mirror. You just have to turn the engine using the steering belt with your left hand. It's easy you'll see. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png It's a visual check!

Sounds good. I never tried the ATF trick, probably should though.

Go see in the FAQ forum, they explain the whole process, but there are thing to keep in mind with the ATF trick, you need to change the plugs afterwards so if you have an old set use it for this. And it may be hard on CAT converter.

Hey...don't worry about your rebuild kit, sooner or later it'll be in your destiny. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
