Knew I should have replaced the calipers, there was one piston that i really had to crank to get the fucker retracted, but wanting to get the car back on the road I threw it on.



Wut a suprise, it sticks... soo gonna replace both the front calipers, should be a quick deal though with the speed bleeders and all.

Yeah same deal with me for my rear calipers, one kinda liked to freeze up but I got a bit better after I replaced the master cylinder. Needs to go.



Heck I need new rotors all the way around. Bleh. Money.

I did rotors, pads, ss lines and speed bleeders all the way around, only thing i didn't do was the calipers

SS would be nice but I'm on less then a shoestring budget here. In fact I'm probably going to pull the rotors and stuff off the red car and place them on the blue car if they're in good enough shape. Heck I'm so poor I'm thinking of using the old bearings out of the red car if they're in better shape too.

Seems like you're having quite a time with the brakes/rotors. Usually the lowers will stick because of the condensation that resides inside the caliper. If you have time, you can rebuild them. Actually they are pretty easy to do and probably only $25/30 for both. The only tricky part is getting the pistons to pop out. I use an air compressor and a block of wood to protect the pistons. Clean up pistons and bores with crocus cloth and you're good to go. Some find it easier just to buy rebuilt units. A little more money, but not any aggrevation.

Yea, when you find a piston that won't push in easily, or a rear caliper piston that doesn't turn in easily, it's time to rebuild/replace them or they will just cause the pads to drag on the rotors.

I bought the rebuilt calipers a1 cardone from Rock Auto for $29! pretty damn good deal.
