Ok first of all I have a JDM '90 Series 5 TII. There are a few problems with it at the moment.

1. After it has been running and then I switch it off and try and start it again while the engine is still warm it can be hard to start. Sometimes I need to pump the gas pedal for 10 or so seconds. Could this be leaking injectors?

2. Just recently I've noticed that it seems to be missing every now and again. I guessed this would be on the spark side of things. As I changed the spark plugs not that long ago I thought it may have been the ignition leads so I bought new ones and it seems to be better. But it still misses every now and again and sometimes won't idle properly. It seems like there's either too much fuel or not enough spark if that makes sense. Ignition coils seem to be fine. I pulled of the ignition leads while the engine was running and there were sparks arcing across the gaps for all of them. Can this be an ECU problem. I've heard that as these cars are getting older the ECU can wander a bit?

3. In the last month or so I have noticed that when I put my foot down it sounds like it is boosting hard, and this is also indicated on stock boost controller, but it doesn't seem to be going as hard as usual.

I was thinking that perhaps all these problems may be interrelated. As in if it was missing then there'd be less power and wouldn't idle properly.

I split a heater hose a few months ago and the engine got a bit hot. Could this affect the spark plugs in any way or perhaps if my injectors are leaking they will damage the plugs? I would get new plugs again but they're pretty expensive here in Australia and thought that if the problem was something else my money would be better spent there.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as this is my daily driver so need her running smooth.

1, is the nature of rotaries. they dont like to hot start, but it could also tie into your other problems.

2 and 3 sounds like you got a vacuum leak somewhere. leaks vacuum at idle making it idle funky, and under boost it leaks boost, which could be why its down on power.

try spraying some ether starting fluid around all the intake components and lines while its idling, if it jumps, theres your leak.
