Ok im putting together my gauges now and i have had this problem from before but never got any help full info on the topic. Well where the gauge surround goes screwed on to the 3 holes in the top and the 2 on the bottom sides I have none of them, the plastics all broke. does any one have any creative solutions for mounting the gauge surround?

fiberglass repair? epoxy? full replacment with new hood? hell i have 4 second gen hoods laying around and 1 in a parts car. one is a right hand drive hood though

Bye hood you mean the part that the gauge surround goes mounted onto? aint that 1 piece with the dash?

I wish i was a good fiberglass-er but last time i tried it i made a mess and it did not work and that was making a speaker box lol.

Any other ideas?

the trim the holds the switched and goes around the gauges is called the hood. and ya its easy to replace.

the problem its not the hood thats broken its the mounting tabs on the dash board that are broken. i cant screw the hood onto anything becuase ther is nowhere to screw it on to all the plastic from under the dash is broken where the metal clips used to be.

ahh ya that is a problem. can you bend up some aluminum and screw into your dash someplace and then use the other ends of the aluminum as your mounting tabs for the screws for the hood

i rarly sleep man. i think if you just use some good epoxy or fiberglass repair along with aluminum strips and screws you can repair the tabs or remake them anyways so you wont have to go threw the top of the dash, posibly rivit the aluminum to the underside even
