How do I get the clear peice off it without breaking it?

I cracked the last one now I have another one & I don't want to break it.

I couldnt get mine off, it was like it was glued.

Yeah I could of swore it was.

Why would they make a carbon fiber bezel when you can't install it,

Or wait you can but it will be broken. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

It shouldnt be glued. Not S4 or S5. You gotta push in all the tabs while separating it.

4RotorRocket 10-20-2005 08:26 PM

I just tried, 1 of three tabs are missing now

Yeah this **** sucks.I cracked the gauge clusters clear peice in half so I bought another one and now the tabs are breaking and I still can't get it off unless I break it.I turned it over and thought of a possible solution though.I'll fill you in tomorrow after work and will take pics. This should do the trick without even removing the clear peice.

you dont take the clear cover off to put the carbon fiber insert in!!!!!!! you bend the carbon fiber insert slightly, curve it like this ( and slide it into the the speedometer hole with the sticky tape just slightly peeled back and put it into place then reach in and peel the sticky off off and put it in place... it takes some fighting but thats how i did mine

matts86fc3s 10-21-2005 04:35 PM

yeah... i tried to take the clear cover off and it just started to crack where it is stuck to the back peice so i didnt go any further... i just peeled the sticky stuff like a half an inch back on one side and bent the carbon fiber just enough to get it through the speedo hole and put it in place and peel the tape off............ thats all you gotta do
