aright im going to be using a hybrid to4e with 57 trim wheel and i also have an FD fuel pump new which i believe flows 243lph.. i have s4 fuel rails and im not exactly sure as to what i need to have done to the secondary rails for the 1600cc injectors and what else i NEED to get as far as lines, fpr, etc. can someone please clue me in to whats necessary to upgrade the fuel system to accomodate these things??? thank you guys https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/bowdown.gif

sonick117x 04-28-2007 11:49 AM

annnybody? is it a different secondary rail for 1600s or does the stock need to be modified?

teknics 04-28-2007 04:15 PM

you can use 1680s from injector.com (marren fuel injector)

just buy the pro import injectors, they're plug and play with stock rails.

as for an FPR the aeromotive 13109 (i believe is the part number) is the main one most people use it has a rising ratye of 1:1 and bla bla bla its the one to go to.

as for lines you could just use stock rubber hose and get slipfit AN adapter for the FPR so you dont need to swap over to braided lines if you dont want to.

thanks you.. thats what i was lookin for lol.. i think i may run smaller injectors im not sure yet.. like 1300 or so but i may just end up using what you suggested! thanks again

are those 1680s the american or jap o-ring style??

teknics 04-30-2007 05:18 PM

if you choose the pro-import ones theyre the same style as the stock ones, aka japanese.

they are literally drop-in.

sonick117x 04-30-2007 05:48 PM

thanks a lot man

teknics 05-01-2007 11:52 AM

n/p.

i believe theyre low impedance, it says on the site i havent bought them in a while so i dont recall off the top of my head.

kevin.

sonick117x 05-01-2007 04:44 PM

i didnt know it made a significant difference whether theyre p/h or saturated but ill just go with the pro import ones on the site

teknics 05-01-2007 06:26 PM

yea dont worry about the other options, as long as its pro-import its good.

if its low impedance you may need to solder in resistors.

also dont forget injector clips, they sell them with or without wire pigtails.

kevin.

jwteknix 05-01-2007 06:39 PM

get the ones with pig tails and make it easier on ur self

sonick117x 05-01-2007 07:21 PM

ill go with the pigtails haha where can i get them at?

teknics 05-02-2007 01:58 PM

same website, I believe its under "accesories" or something. the pigtail ones i think are 4.95 each and the non pigtail are 3.95 each, so the pigtail is defintely worth the extra dollar, i assure you of that lol.

marren should hire me, i always advertise them lol.

kevin.

sonick117x 05-02-2007 03:06 PM

i checked that out i didnt see them.. of course i could just be over looking.. haha yea for the extra buck ill get the pigtails thanks

you want me to put in a good word with my next order? lol

thanks again

yea stuff adds up real quick.

ive got two project cars lol. at least both are almost done and require only a few more, less expensive items.

kevin.

sonick117x 05-04-2007 02:46 PM

yea right now its college that toasting a hole in my pocket lol

i just want my car done so bad i can almost taste it but i got a good list of parts that still need to be bought before i can even swap it and its totally a hefty price tag to get everything..

sonick117x 05-04-2007 07:54 PM

another question for you since youre from jersey too.. how do you deal with emissions?

teknics 05-05-2007 04:47 PM

i find shops that are willing to um "look the other way"

youre near trenton, should be some shops in the seedier areas, ask around with the local car people they normally know someone.

only areas i couold suggest off the top of m y head are around me, aka paterson and newark.

kevin.

sonick117x 05-05-2007 05:36 PM

thats what i figured id have to do.. ill try to find more people around here that can gimme some insight.. whats it usually run you $$ wise

teknics 05-07-2007 03:19 PM

anywhere from $75-$185

normally.

kevin.

sonick117x 05-08-2007 05:31 PM

saw your post about the t70 on tmic lol.. funny

anyway thanks for the info about inspection and ill look around here hopefully...

as for the fuel system.. i dont know if i can afford kg but i gotta guy who has 1600s fitted for the stock rails and a fpr/guage so all i would need is 3/8 inch fuel lines i believe right? might be a lot cheaper than going with that kit .. lemme know man
