I have had several fuel and brake lines go out in the last week. My question is should i replace the line with the O.E lines or do any of you guys here know of some aftermarket ideas.

for the fuel line go with plastic, easy to bend, won't rust or etarnish, like ss will and very affordable. brakes i just made all my oen cost maybe 100 bucks with the tool.

plastic? do you mean rubber hoses? If so rubber hoses crack easily after some service, and will fail, if you use all rubber hoses for your fuel system its like asking for an eventual engine fire. S/S lines arent used cause they're pretty, its cause they're durable, dont dry out, dont split open, the connectors make a great seal, unlike hose clamps on rubber hoses etc.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
i said plastic VW uses it, Ford uses it, GM uses it, i think it;'s good for 80000psi, can't remember. it's good ****. |
Where can i find plastic fuel line?
|
you can try VW dealers, i got mine from napa, if you get the proper connectors it's just as good as SS line, but i used rubber hose to join it with hose clamps.

cool thanks for the help
