I hammered in a new pilot bearing with a 12mm socket (using bearing grease as well). I tried to hammer in the pilot bearing seal, but only messed it up. I can't hit it perfetly centered every time, since the socket face is not perfectly flat, and the opening in the e-shaft is tapered.
What's the best way to install the pilot bearing seal? That is, after I order another one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png |
i think i almost put those in by hand? or use something really big and flat, lol i cant remember

I used a socket, but not a hammer. Kinda drive it with your hand.
I remember using a 14mm deep socket, but i could be wrong. |
At the track we use to use, an old spark plug, fits into the center of the seal.. wont damage anything either.. Hope you have a better day!
