Front Tubular Cross Member

Like the topic states, Can the front tubular cross member be removed and relocated farther forward with out affecting structural integrity?

I did this on my car a while back with no issues. Both the round and triangular crossmembers were removed.

though on this fc the cross member did not move i did happen to remove alot of metal in the front end and went with light weight aluminum for ducting and light weight small tubes for fender braces and hood pin suports. 17lbs lighter.
