Got a question,
Is there a metal sleeve in the front lower control arm rear bushing? Should I cut through this shinny metal in the pic? |
nevermind I figured it out... you have to split that metal sleeve.

Damn these bushings are hard to replace.
|
Are you implying that the stock bushings have a steel sleeve inside the bushing? Mine were hard to get off but not too bad, it sounds like you're working harder than you need to.
|
yes there is a steel sleeve in all the bushings I've found so far. I don't have a press, and I don't have access to one, so i'm trying to use a hacksaw, vice, hammer, punch and torch to get the bushings off.

I just used a torch on mine. Set them on fire and they popped right out without getting the arm too hot.
